i still can't really believe that michael jackson is gone. listening to his old songs have brought back so many memories. i never really realized how much his music was apart of my life, especially my childhood. rest in peace mj.

back to the beach

heading back to the beach for a few days!  looking forward to sun, yummy food, shopping and just doing nothing. ah! so, so nice!

5 good things from this weekend

1. air conditioning- it was seriously hot this weekend and i was so happy to blast the ac

2. finding everything i wanted on my saturday shopping trip

3. the black bear carmel apple from rocky mountain chocolate factory. yum, yum, yum. i forgot just how good those are.

4. watching stardust, which my mom told me i would like. she was right. such a lovely little movie.

5. my new big fluffy pillow! i was way over due for a new one.

in wonderland

Had no idea Tim Burton was making a version of Alice in Wonderland. It already looks amazing! AND with Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter!! Cannot wait!

especially hotel chelsea nights and english girls approximately. so, so good! they've been on repeat for the last two days.

weekend in wilmington

cramming everything in court's tiny car truck. yummy seafood. walking downtown. lots of shopping. sparkly shoes. cute sunglasses. eating bojangles on the beach. perfect floating around in the ocean. doritos. super fun weekend.

the construction guys right outside my office broke a gas mane...and we all had to leave the building. it was kind of crazy- lots of fire trucks and police cars- but we got to go home early!

it sounded like a cute idea....

i bought this cute little Sula Paint & Peel nail polish thinking it seemed like a good idea- peeling your nail polish off when you were tired of it but then i remembered that i'm pretty sure i had seen something like this for little girls but i wanted to try it.

it went on better than i thought although it still felt tacky after it had dried. by the time i had woken up the next morning half it had peeled off. i don't know if i painted on too much but it didn't really work out. it did peel off super quick and was kind of fun to do but...it don't think i'll be buying another bottle anytime soon.
