Happy Birthday Court!!

Today is Courtney's birthday!

And here are my 5 reasons I heart Court:

1. She is one of the silliest and most fun girls you will ever meet. We laugh so, so much cheeks and sides hurt and it's the greatest.

2. She is an excellent travel buddy. No complaining or whining, just rolls with whatever is going on and makes the best of it. We survived the epic "trip-to-Vegas-with-Matty" together. Which basically consisted of Matty being drunk for 3 days. We were impressed and terrified.

3. She introduced me to '30 Rock' and Anthropologie. Both life changing in their own special ways.

4. She is a great listener and talker. Most people are good at one or the other but she is equally good at both. If you have a problem/drama, she'll listen and give you excellent advice. She can also chat the entire time on a road trip or flight. Love that.


5. We can (and do) talk about everything. Art, books, music, movies, celeb gossip, politics, our friends, family, food, blogs, shoes, shower curtains, nail polish, and anything else.


I am very lucky and happy to have this gal as one of my best friends.
Thank goodness we worked in departments beside each other at Nordstrom!

I love creating blogs....

...so I cooked up another one here. Why you ask? Well there's really no reason except that I like Tumblr and Blogspot so why not have a blog on both?? I don't know how they will be different but whatever. I'll just bounce back and forth between them.

AND Mia and I are going to try to make a Ryan Adams blogs...so get ready for that.

The quest for the perfect Blackberry cover continues...

Dear People who make Blackberry covers,

Can you PLEASE make one that:

1.) Actually fits my phone and doesn't look weird

2.) That is EASY to take on and off and I won't rip off my fingernails or break the cover just to take it off. (see above picture)

3.) Comes in lots of cute colors

I do not think this is asking too much.

Inspiration....

in strange places.

Generally I would not consider Facebook to be a place where I find anything that makes me feel inspired but the other day I was clicking around and started looking at a friend's (who I haven't seen in a long time) pictures. I just keep thinking they look they have all of these cool, fun adventures and it made me want to have more of my own cool, fun adventures!

I felt so inspired!

I'm going to write down goals that I want to accomplish this year,

look at them ALL THE TIME and

start to check them off one by one!

Oh man...can't believe I'm this old!

But I plan on having a nice little fun day today.

Scarf lesson

I love wearing scarves so, so much. I feel like I wear one almost everyday when it gets cold and I usually wear them the same way so I was excited to find a new, cool way to wear them.

I tried it one this one I think it turned out pretty cute! And it is really easy to do.

This is approximately what it feels like the my office today.

There is no heat and it's about 20 some degrees outside.

I'm sitting here wearing my puffy, sleeping bag-esque coat and am still freezing!!!
